For decades, companies have promoted supplements and lotions designed to promote natural breast growth. Imaging going to bed with a size B cup and waking up the next morning looking down at a DD? While the idea of natural breast enhancement is dream, the reality is that these creams or supplements don’t really do the trick and, can actually cause you more harm than good. If you want to wake up with that DD, your safest best is to find a plastic surgeon near you that specializes in breast augmentation.

Pills and Creams Can Cause More Harm Than Good

When you do an internet search for natural breast enhancement, chances are you will find a wide variety of different herbal pills claiming to help you boost your bust size. Many of these herbs, such as palmetto and wild yam, contain a substance called phytoestrogens. While these may affect the growth of breast tissue, there is no scientific proof that they do.

Phytoestrogens do attach to estrogen receptor cells and can produce weak estrogenic effects, but at a price. According to Harvard Medical School, in premenopausal women this stimulation can actually interfere with normal estrogenic stimulation and the growth of breast tissue. In postmenopausal women with low estrogen, they may increase breast size, but increase the risk of breast cancer. In addition, as the Mayo Clinic points out, these supplements can also be life-threatening to people taking certain medications, such as warfarin.

Breast Augmentation Benefits

When it comes to gaining a sup size or two, your safest and most effective choice is breast augmentation. While risks come with any surgical procedure, breast augmentation with an experienced plastic surgeon is safe and your risks are minimal. And, unlike with pills or creams, you will actually get the results you hope for. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported in 2013 that 98 percent of women undergoing breast augmentation say their results met or exceeded their expectations. You can’t beat those numbers!

When considering breast augmentation, forget the pills and creams and save your money for something that will really make a difference. Look for a certified and experienced plastic surgeon in your area and make an appointment for a breast augmentation procedure.
