Facelift

Kanye Has Spoken, Big Sunglasses Are Out. Do You Need a Facelift Now?

woman with large sunglassesThe infamous Kanye West is apparently now the gatekeeper of sunglass trends. Go figure. So if you’ve been hiding behind your favorite pair of oversized shades or just can’t quite pull off the tiny sunglasses look, is your only choice a facelift?

“It’s All about Tiny Little Glasses”

According to Kim K, Kanye expressed his grave concern to her in an email that she’d been falling behind the latest fashion trend. Because that’s how all husbands communicate with their wives, right?

Anyway, the email supposedly went a little something like this: “You cannot wear big glasses any more. It’s all about tiny little glasses.” Sure enough, celebs like Rhianna, Gigi Hadid and Solange Knowles have been flaunting this new look all year.

Who cares about actually protecting our eyes from the sun, as long as we’re following Ye’s fashion advice…

When NOT to Get a Facelift

Before you do anything drastic to change your face to better suit this new absurd fashion trend, take the advice Kayne should have taken back in 2009 and step away from the mic.

If looking great in a pair of new shades is your motivating factor for getting a facelift or any other plastic surgery, for that matter, you should probably reconsider.

It’s only a matter of time before Kanye waves his magic fashion wand again and poofs us back into big sunglasses.

Real Reasons to Get a Facelift

If, on the other hand, you want to turn back the hands of time and look and feel like the best version of yourself, a facelift could be right for you. Not because Kayne (or anyone else) said so. You can also discuss your goals with a board-certified plastic surgeon if you’re still on the fence.
