Most Popular Plastic Surgery

Most Popular Plastic SurgeryThe data crunchers at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons have finally finished their work and brought us the top procedures of 2105. We know you’re dying to know what’s on the list, so let’s get to it.

Lift Me Up

Lifts, lifts and more lifts were up giant percentages from 2000. Breast lifts up 89 percent. Buttock lifts up 252 percent. Lower body lifts up 3,973 percent. And the huge jump? Upper arm lifts with a 4,959-percent increase. The evidence is clear: Men and women are loving lifts and their ability to, well, lift and reshape the body into better contours.

Longtime Favorites

Breast augmentation continued to be a wildly popular procedure in 2015, growing 31 percent since 2000. Liposuction, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery and tummy tucks round out the top five most-performed plastic surgery procedures. For the first time since 2000, facelifts slipped out of the top five. The five most popular minimally-invasive procedures were BOTOX®, soft tissue fillers, chemical peels, laser hair removal and microdermabrasion.

Nothing too surprising, huh? Wait until you hear this though. Butt procedures, including Brazilian butt lifts, buttock lifts and butt implants, were so popular in 2015 that one was performed approximately every 30 minutes. That’s every 30 minutes, every day, for a year. Now that’s what I call a year of the rear.

What It All Means

So what do the numbers reveal? They show us that people are seeing the magic in choosing plastic surgery procedures that target their specific areas of concern, for results they can’t wait to show off.
