Woman wearing a pink bikini with matching headband posing against a white backdrop. It’s no secret that plastic surgery can cost a pretty penny. But while some people look into affordable financing solutions, others look for more creative ways to fund their procedures.

Take social media influencer and star of the TV series Unexpected McKayla Adkins, who’s vying for a spot for a free tummy tuck post-pregnancy with a Miami plastic surgeon.

Is Free Plastic Surgery Worth Sacrificing Your Privacy?

After having two kids back-to-back before the age of 18, Adkins wants her pre-baby body back. Recently, she’s taken to social media, urging her fans to help her get “tags” and “shares” on an Instagram post aimed at winning free plastic surgery. Say what?

Be wary of social media gimmicks that claim to offer too-good-to-be-true prices and promos.

Apparently, a plastic surgeon in Miami is holding a giveaway contest, open to any influencer with at least 10,000 followers. Six winners will be chosen and will win a free cosmetic procedure of their choice. The catch? Those influencers will have to share their journeys with the public as they go through their tummy tuck, liposuction, breast augmentation or other procedure.

Does this sort of ring a bell? You’ve probably heard of Dr. Miami, a totally different Florida cosmetic surgeon, who’s known for featuring full procedures on Snapchat.

Why You Shouldn’t Bargain Shop Your Tummy Tuck

Whether or not you’re game for giving up your privacy for a shot at free plastic surgery, one thing’s for sure: you should never sacrifice the quality of your procedure for a lower price tag.

If you don’t happen to have 10,000 followers and are therefore not eligible for this crazy contest, plastic surgery can still be affordable. Ask your doctor about financing options, or start saving little by little before you start planning your procedure.
