From Pre-Op to Pin-Up: A Step-By-Step Guide

Pre-Op to Pin-Up

So you’re ready to level up on curvesPre-Op to Pin-Up a la Marilyn Monroe, and are looking to add some va va voom to your lovely lady lumps? There are a few things you can do ahead of time to make sure your experience is the cat’s pajamas. (People still say that, right?)

Meet and Greet

First, you’ll first meet with your darling neighborhood plastic surgeon to discuss a variety of details about you, your life and your hopes for your boob job. Your surgeon will explain what you can expect from your procedure so you can plan your next bikini accordingly.

Pre-Game

The big day is coming fast, so schedule any blood tests your surgeon requires way ahead of time and put out those cigarettes. Also, be sure to tell your boss to go easy on you during your recovery period.

Make sure you’ve got a BFF ready to pick you up after surgery, and stay the night. Go ahead and freeze some meals ahead of time (might we suggest the cheesiest of macaronis), because you probably won’t want to slave over a stove after surgery.

The Great Reveal…and Recovery

It’s totally normal to feel sore after getting new boobs, but swelling and bruising should decrease over the first few weeks so you’ll be able to start showing off your pin-up silhouette in no time. You should be back to your normal routine and work (BOO!) within a few days, but strenuous activity should be avoided for at least a few more weeks.

Communication with your surgeon at all stages of the process is key. If you plan properly, your breast enhancement experience should be one for the stars!
