So you’ve had your boob job and now it’s time to get some much-needed shut-eye. But, er, how to sleep after breast augmentation?
Make your life a little easier and read through these four sleepy time tips before hitting the hay.
Try Sleeping in a Recliner for the First Few Days
After your mommy makeover, you’re going to want to keep your upper body elevated for a while to help with swelling. Lots of women say that snoozing in a recliner is a super easy and comfy way to do this.
Sleep on Your Back with Extra Pillows
If the recliner just isn’t for you, grab a few extra pillows and use them to keep your head and shoulders propped up at about a 45-degree angle (it’s okay to guestimate—don’t go getting your protractor out).
Sleeping on your stomach right after your boob job or tummy tuck is a no-no. Trust me, it’s not going to feel too great.
Enlist the Help of a Body Pillow
Chronic stomach sleepers, you know who you are. Get yourself a body pillow or two to keep you from rolling over on your stomach in your sleep. Putting too much pressure your new girls while they’re still in recovery mode could mess with your results, not to mention hurt. Ouch.
Fido Might Have to Take a Vacay from Your Bed
Do you have an ultra snuggly dog who wouldn’t know personal space if it bit him in the butt? Weeell, you might want to politely kick him out of your covers while you rest up after your mommy makeover so you don’t get any painful kicks, prods or pushes in some pretty tender areas.
