Mommy Makeover MistakesAh, the mommy makeover. If women of eras past only knew that it would one day be possible to bring back pre-baby boobs, restore a youthful tummy, and even rebuild our vaginas! We modern ladies have it so good. Be careful, though, mommy makeovers are not infallible. Don’t ruin a good thing by making the following mommy makeover mistakes.

Having It Done Too Soon

It’s perfectly understandable. You just had a baby and you’d like your old body back as close to immediately as possible. In reality, it’s not a good idea to jump into plastic surgery until your body has a chance to completely heal. All kinds of crazy things happen during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding, and you need time to bounce back.

You have to give your body a chance to heal from childbirth before jumping into a mommy makeover.

Failing to Reach Your Target Weight First

Speaking of getting your mommy makeover too soon, one of the biggest mommy makeover mistakes you can make is getting one before you’ve gotten back to a steady weight. A lot of mommy makeovers include contouring procedures like liposuction and tummy tucks. If you can’t maintain your weight, you’ll be back to looking like your “before” picture in no time.

Slacking Off On After-Care

Your plastic surgeon does the work of helping you get your rocking body back. But it’s up to you to keep it. To make sure your results last, you have to eat right and work out. Of course, it will be a lot easier because you’ll look so amazing in your fitness gear that you’ll want to live at the gym. When you’re fresh out of surgery, follow your post-operative instructions (yes, all of them).
